    Sky Tower Classic Basics

    Why STC Raids exist:
    - Players don't meet STH Requirements yet.
    - Players want to learn how raids work (mechanics, etc.)
    - Players want STC Achievements (you get a tasty LP reward after completing the achievements).
    - Players are late registering for STH so they make do with STC.
    - LP IS EVERYTHING!!!

What do you need to host a raid?
Raids are a team effort so it's best if you're not solo hosting, especially if you plan to host long-term. Make sure to have back-ups just in case of emergencies. Plus it's mentally less taxing when you work together.

Remember you can only manage the list until raid starts where it will become unavailable so make sure to change your password before ST starts if you don't like leaks.

    Raid Core:
    - Any DPS built class. - preferably Lancers & Dragonistas but any class can carry the DPS as long as they have gear.
    - Sorcerer - 38F Sorcerer Mantra Cleansing: http://bit.ly/38Fsorc - sub Sorcerer works as well, it just has a longer cooldown.
    - Gatherers - Not necessarily undergeared (everyone should be gathering) but may need instructions if they don't know how floors work.

    Recommended Gears:
STC nowadays normally have DPS carries but just in case you don't, Lv80-99 should at least have +20 gears (Weapons especially) to see the raid through 50F.

Raid Contingency Plans: HELP!!! SOMETHING WENT WRONG IN RAID!!!

    - List of floors a raid may get stuck at.
    - This is normally due to players not knowing how the floor works.
    - See below for all raid mechanics & strategies.

22F - DPS not enough to burst the first boss on the right of the floor.

Have a party (classes with bounce skills make it easier) attack the orbs coming from the left so the orbs don't wipe your raid. Make sure to keep the first boss close to the wall. Whoever turns into a chicken must not run away. They must stick to the wall, passing through the boss back & forth, keeping it still enough for the DPS to hit.

36F - Not many people with transform items. No bard/sub bard jumping & healing. See the references below for Wall Skip.

    36F Wall Skipping
    http://bit.ly/36Fskipping

Written Explanation in case the video isn't clear.
When the floor starts, you will turn into (Left) Attack Skeleton, (Middle) Healing Demon, (Right) Tank Demon. To use the Transmog items, you can:
    1) Enter the same Transformation Circle (ie. Skeleton to Skeleton, etc.), exit the circle, then use the Transmog.
    2) Enter a Transformation Circle, exit the circle, enter the same Transformation Circle, exit again, and then use the Transmog.
    * If you get in battle, just exit the floor till you leave combat and try again.
    * If you did this correctly, your movement speed will be adjusted to 150% and your attacks count towards the stacks to remove the soldiers.

Remove the Transmog and use gap closer skills (should work on main & sub) to skip over the wall till you reach the middle area of soldiers.
    - Ravager - Soaring Slash
    - Crusader - Forbidden Slash
    - Ninja - Shadow Arts
    - Lancer - Final Execution
    - Dragonista - Draconic Meteor
    * The range of the skill can limit how far you can jump, especially for Ninja & Lancer, who may need to target a soldier closer to the fence.

    No Wall Skip? No problem!
    1) Every party needs to have at least one (Middle) Healing Demon and the rest are (Left) Attack Skeletons.
    2) Clear the soldiers on the left side first before moving onto the right, and finally the middle area.
*The Tank Demon can be used for the second boss or to tank the damage from the soldiers.

38F - Lack of cleansers & runners. You can fix this situation if there are people willing to do so.

How 38F normally looks like: http://bit.ly/38Fsorc

    Runners
    - Runners must have at least 220% Movement Speed with or without mount.
    - If you fail and don't have enough movement speed, you can switch to an empty gear tab and die to a carpet. Then respawn and remount. Mind the number of your lives though.
    - Use potions if there is no bard healing.
    - The center carpet gives 6 stacks while the outer carpets give less stacks.
    - Getting Stronger Status Effect? Wait 1-2 seconds before submitting the stacks when someone else is there.
    * This is due to the runners' difference in sub levels (see image below). If they are the same, there's no need to wait when submitting.

    Sorcerer/Sub Sorcerer
    - Safest Method is to use Mantra only after the center carpet debuffs the runners, as seen in the video.
    - If your runners are fast and/or get hit by outer carpets, main Sorcerers can keep up with their short Mantra cooldowns.

    Bard (Optional)
    - The bard does not need to be in the party to heal.
    - Use AOE Heal in the middle of the floor where the runners pass through.

44F - This is a DPS Check floor.

    Lightning Cube (Southwest): Debuff Immunity
    Ice Cube (Northwest): +200% DEF
    Storm Cube (Southeast): +1% Regen
    Fire Cube (Northeast): +100% DMG

Low DPS: Ice -> Lightning (Counterclockwise) -> Storm -> Fire
Decent DPS: Lightning -> Ice (Clockwise) -> Fire -> Storm
Decent DPS: Lightning -> Storm (Counterclockwise) -> Fire -> Ice
*These don't matter if you have more than enough DPS.

    1) Having Elemental DMG helps especially if you are struggling (ie. elixirs, DMG to Element mounts, eidolon, etc.).
    2) Whoever has aggro on the first cube can exit the floor to reset the cube, allowing debuffs.
    3) Whoever has aggro on the mini boss can do the same.
    4) Spam stuns on the mobs around the cube. Kill the mobs first before focusing on the cube.
    5) As much as possible, don't use bounce/chain skills that may aggro even more mobs.
    6) Sub bard can contribute with AOE Heals.
    7) The Roots of Malice on the sides can be attacked to remove debuff stacks if you're dying too fast.

46F - Not enough DPS to burn boss before you're forced to do mechanic.

    - Geared player with sub bard or a main bard can tank the boss in the middle.
    - Everyone else has to do the floor mechanic till you're able to burn boss again.
    - Avoid the green gas. It will kill you. People die when they are killed.

48F- There are too many people leeching so the floor keeps resetting.

    - You shouldn't have to do this, but instruct people to participate. Beg them or get angry. Tell them leechers get banned. Or cry and make them feel guilty.
    - Remind them that there's nothing that can kill them in this floor. Some of them may just be worried about what lives they have left.
    - All else fails, just leave the raid and be happy you got that far. UwU

    ================================================== =======================

I think that's it for the common problematic floors. The next post will be information on floor mechanics and strategies.

TL;DR - Geared DPS helps a lot. Gatherers help a lot. HOSTS THAT KNOW HOW RAID WORKS IS STILL THE FOUNDATION OF A RAID.
